Prison Neglect
Killed My Brother
By: May

My brother died on October sixth of melanoma (a malignant cancer) in a Massachusetts prison. Before his death, he put in many sick-slips. They went unheeded. He'd marked many of the sick-slips "Emergency!"

My brother recognized the disease from its outset. Had the medical staff at the prison taken the time, I believe that he'd be alive today. By the time he was seen, the cancer had grown to the size of a golf ball. It was no longer curable.

He went through hell. I have many documents that he was able to send out to me before his death. This should never have happened to him. From the beginning to the end, he was put through much undo agony, way too much for me to relate here.

Today I'm without my brother. That's wrong! Prisoners' rights are being broken.
