In the evolution of law, new defense strategies are always being
discovered. The Winkler Defense is a new twist. It's
a philosophy that excuses you if your gun-down your mate. If
your spouse nags you or criticizes you or, worst of all, wants
to have sex with you, it's okay to murder the bastard! The defense
is simply, "my spouse nagged me!" You'll get away with murder.
The defense only works for women. They're allowed to kill husbands. Husbands, on the other hand, are never allowed to kill wives. That will get you the death penalty no matter how badly she nags you. The I'm-a-woman-so-it's-okay defense has long been the strategy used to get women much lighter treatment than men. Women are always victims, just ask one of them. They are weaklings, helpless pawns, dopes who don't know any better. Just murder your mate if he makes you unhappy. You'll get away with it. You're a woman, so it's okay. But, the key word in the defense is he! It's only okay to kill your mate if he's a man. You can't kill a wife. There are a whole series of female excuses. Women are great at thinking up excuses and lies. Admittedly, most of them are sexual. It's always the dirty man's fault. Psychologists are delighted to invent scientific-sounding terms to excuse women. A dandy is the so-called Battered Woman Syndrome (kill anybody who slaps you). Other female excuses include postpartum depression (kill people as revenge for having a baby) and premenstrual syndrome (kill folks because you're going to menstruate). The basic test for getting special treatment in court is, do you have a cunt? Cunts excuse a lot. The Winkler Defense is named for Mary Winkler a mousy killer from Tennessee. Her husband was a Christian preacher, a hypocrite. She blasted him and ran away. He may have nagged her. He certainly made her unhappy. What more reason does a woman need to kill a guy? In court the poor killer revealed that her dirty-minded preacher spouse wanted to screw her. My God! Kill him! Kill him! Mary was found not guilty of murder, but the Bible-belt jury convicted her of voluntary manslaughter. After all, the dead man had been a Christian preacher. They must deserve special protection.
