What America needs is universal healthcare.
No American
should have to worry about being healthy.
Every American should
be provided with whatever medical care she or he needs.
Wellness
isn't a luxury.
It's the basic necessary of a decent life.
All
the civilized nations of the world provide it to their citizens
- except the United States.
We wouldn't tolerate unsafe roads or unhealthy water or air, why is universal healthcare so frightening? Why is war so attractive? There are two distinct types of Americans, those who think that it's a great idea to spend $200,000,000,000.00 to kill people (mostly innocent civilians) in a madman's war and those who think that the money should be spent not to kill and make savages of our young warriors, but to keep people alive, to keep them healthy and happy. It's a national psychosis, the killer versus the healer, the Conservative Republicans against the rest of us. When, in the 1930s, Social Security was proposed, the Conservative Republican's fought bitterly against it. It would hurt big-business. The Conservative Republicans were against clean water, clean air, decent wages. The Conservative Republican's don't like to have people helped or benefited. They are mad with the lust to exploit, to gouge profits and, worst of all, to kill those who disagree with them. Killing is easier than healing people. Any Fasces can murder. It requires neither goodness nor wisdom. But killing is simply wrong. War is simply wrong. The whole war business is a kind of insanity. It's a nonsense of double talk, schizophrenia. We kill people to save lives. We wage war to have piece. We fight for liberty by oppressing people. We represent freedom by taking away freedom. We are good by being bad. George Orwell (1903-1950) after fighting in World War Two, called it double-speak. When Americas were sacrificed in Iraq on the altar of profits for big-oil, they were told and we were told that they were "liberators;" they would be welcomed as liberators. The welcome was bombs and guns. We weren't liberators. We were invaders. The patriots who defended their homes against our murderous occupation were called "insurgents." It was a kind of madness of double-speak. The Iraqis were provided with universal health care, but we are not. The Adolf who dictated to America said that universal healthcare would cost a trillion dollars in ten years. Better to spend the trillion to heal people than to kill people. Adolf said that universal healthcare would put bureaucrats in charge of our health. Better bureaucrats than profit-hungry corporate exploiters. The rich people are way too rich. The poor people are way too poor. One Conservative Republican is paid over $200,000,000.00 a year. Another American receives less than $10,000. per year. For every dollar the poor person scrimped, the rich person took home $20,000.00. There's something fundamentally wrong with such disparity. Adolf doesn't have to worry about healthcare. The taxpayers provide it for him. The Conservative Republicans in the legislatures don't have to worry about healthcare. The taxpayers provide it for them. They just want to keep the taxpayers from providing the same benefits to the rest of us. The Conservative Republicans will oppose any measure, every measure which will help people. They are gangsters lusting to solve problems by killing. Reject that mentality. Spent your time and money to heal people, not to kill them.
