Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania is a bastion of inbreeding by the rustic bumpkins. Huntingdon County has a judge. His name is Stewart L. Kurtz. There are rumors that he can spell the smaller words and even cipher some. He has few other talents except he's cousin to everyone else in the county.
If Judge Kurtz were running for reelection against a barnyard fowl, I'd urge you to vote for the duck!
Huntingdon County's rural Republican economy is based upon punishing city people, mostly blacks. Besides the archaic county jail, 2 state prisons support the rustic bumpkins. How else could the pathetic locals survive except on the millions of state welfare dollars pumped in from the cities to pay the guards' wages and support the community?
About 7% of Huntingdon County's adult population, about 4200 men, are prisoners. Judge Kurtz is supposed to look out for that downtrodden minority under-class. He has an important legal duty to assure that the prisoners are treated constitutionally and decently.
Judge Kurtz doesn't do that duty. When he runs for reelection, vote for the duck.
The prisoners confined in Huntingdon County are treated atrociously. Their hell-holes are run by the brutal local buffoons.
Occasionally a prisoner will try to get legal relief before the Honorable Judge Kurtz. It's a waste of effort. Suffering, abused and injured prisoners are not who interest Kurtz. Why, hell, most of them are blacks and foreigners from out of the county and some went all the way through high school. You know you can't trust them citified blacks with all that schoolbook learning!
Every prisoner problem presented to Judge Kurtz is dealt with in the same way: the prisoner gets screwed without even the semblance of fairness. Of course, the prisoners don't contribute to the Republican party coffers and they don't vote. If they did vote, you can bet it would be for the duck, not for Honorable Kurtz!
I'm looking into ways to have Kurtz recalled. It doesn't look like an easy job, but I figure that there's a duck someplace who would make a hell of a lot better judge. Until then, I'm urging all the prisoners in Huntingdon County to take their pleas directly to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. They should assert that there is no competent court in Huntingdon County. Maybe the Supreme Court has a spare duck handy.
