The Personality of
The United States
By: Roy Cohan

Our five-year poll comparing the culture and political climate of the United States with that of civilized nations has been concluded. We asked international experts to characterize American society and politics. The same experts also characterized the social and political atmosphere of other areas of the world.

The results of our study are shocking! The USA fared "worse" than almost all other nations and dead last among civilized nations such as Germany, France and England. For this report we've cataloged the ten most commonly mentioned characteristics of the United States. For comparison sake, we included the ten most commonly mentioned qualities of Europe, an area of similar size, diversity and population. It's fair to say that the experts agree that America is a barbaric and tyrannically materialistic people compared to Europe.

Since it's always interesting and useful to realize how professionals evaluate us both as individuals and as a society, we'll simply list their evaluations in order; most common characteristics first. You might want to consider this report a kind of psychologist's diagnoses of a troubled patient.

It may be that the influential persons in the United States may want to consider easing the American culture and especially the American political beast a bit more toward a better value system.
