If Philadelphia's police force has a noxious reputation, Pittsburgh's is not much better. The Pittsburgh cops have the well-deserved reputation as thugs and renegades. If the Philly cops are the "organized crime" of Pennsylvania's police forces, Pittsburgh's cops are the muggers and street gangs.
In March of 1996 the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania finally brought suit against the Steel City's police force in behalf of 25 citizen-victims.
Many of you who are browsing from around the world have connections with the business community of Pittsburgh. We urge you to be careful of the cops if you visit Pittsburgh and to suggest to your Pennsylvania business contacts, to help to clean up the dirt (the cop-dirt, that is) in Pittsburgh.
