If you ever thought that lots of cops act like thugs, gangsters and bullies, you're right. Cops are a special breed almost as bad as prison guards. The media keeps alive the illusion that somehow cops are really "decent" folks doing a dirty job. The truth is quite different and it's very unpopular to tell the truth about cops. They are, after all, the enforcers and bully-boys for the people who are in power.
Take the case of state cop H. Keith Taylor. He had an extramarital affair. He's 41 and the mid-life crisis time seems to have been afoot and it's no big deal except for the cheated spouses.
Keith, the state cop, decided that it might be nice to beat up his mistress. He smashed her so hard in her face that he broke his poor hand. Incidentally, he also broke the woman's face, or her nose, at least. She's 48, no spry spring chicken any longer.
In order to avoid worse charges, the good state cop plea bargained and plead guilty.
Cops need very careful watching.
