Where it can get away with completely neglecting the prisoners' medical needs, the medical company can net a huge profit for its greedy shareholders. And, there's nobody overseeing the racket!
Many, many prisoners are grossly medically neglected. The profitable medical corporations want to keep it that way. Why?
Because the less the companies do, the more profit they make!
