The famous Ernie Preate and his minions had apparently arranged some sort of a "tour" of part of the Smithfield state prison in Central Pennsylvania. SCI-Smithfield is one of the prisons where a rather large number of prisoners have been murdered in the "hole." It's a savage place. The prison says the deaths were suicides. Even if they really were suicides, why weren't the guards on duty to prevent them? An aged mother from New York who'd been long isolated from her imprisoned son, made the long journey to Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. She was intending to take the suppose "tour" and to see her son. This is a common problem with the general public. They're suckers. They actually believe the Department of Imprisonment. As we've said a hundred times, NEVER, ever believe anything the prison system tells youl Lying is their official policy. They are the only state agency which actually exists to harm the citizens. When the mother arrived at the prison, she of course discovered that there wasn't really any kind of "tour." She was given the lie that the prison was being "remodeled" so there could be no visiting. Lest, like the mother, you believe the prison officials, let us disabuse you of any such nonsense. No real remodeling was going on. Whatever trivial repairs may have been happening, they wouldn't interfere with visiting. It's vital to prison administrators to hide the truth from families and from the public. The mother did discover that her son was being starved and had lost 80 pounds. She learned that he was being abused and denied adequate health care. That's what the Smithfield authorities call "remodeling!"
