Dear Ms Flohr:
Pursuant to 65 PS 66.1 et seq., I request access to the below listed public records for the purposes of making inspection and/or copying.

While prisoners' food rations are being slashed (including the inane "slice-of-bread-remedy" that some genius devised at SCI- Smithfield), the staff enjoys costly and special foods at taxpayer expense.

Please provide me with access to the records for the months of November and December from State Correctional Institution - Smithfield which reflect:

  • 1. The menus and/or schedules of ALL the foods available free of charge to the staff in their dining room which were not/are not served in the prisoner messhall along with their costs and the names of the vendors from whom they were purchased,
  • 2. At a minimum, include the reports reflecting the costs and vendors for the following special foods given away in the SCI-Smithfield Staff Dining Room
    Applesauce Olives (green)
    Bread/rolls (in excess of prisoners' slice ration Olives (ripe)
    Cereals (all varieties) Onions (diced/sliced)
    Cheeses (all varieties) Pastrami
    Coffee (pre-made, gourmet) Peppers (hot)
    Condiments Peppers (pickled hot)
    Cookies and sweets Pickles
    Cottage cheese Relish
    Crab meat Salad Dressings (all varieties)
    Egg Salad Salads
    Ice Cream (novelty) Soft drinks (all varieties)
    Ice Cream (tub) Soups of the Day
    Ice Cream (toppings) Spaghetti Cheeses and toppings
    Juices (all varieties) Teas
    Luncheon Meats (all varieties) Tomatoes (fresh, canned, hole, diced)
    Milk Tuna fish
    Mushrooms

  • 3. Provide the records reflecting the number of prisoner slave laborers assigned to the staff dining room and the monthly compensation provided them.
