John Anthony Diaz is a prisoner in the
Smithfield state prison in Huntingdon County in Central
Pennsylvania. For a long time, they've isolated Mr. Diaz
in the prison hole. It's easier to torment him there. I've been
there. It's a separate, isolated building accessible through
a tunnel and staffed by the worst guards chosen from a staff of
substandards Cretins.
John Diaz is being tortured and tormented in the hole because he's managed to reveal a little of the extensive pattern of abuses going on in the prison. After reporting an incident where guards harassed and tormented a man (apparently "Joe Kappa") until he killed himself, Mr. Diaz's mail was cutoff. Before it happened, he'd also reported a series of other attempted suicides and abuses. In an effort to shut Mr. Diaz up, the prison staff destroys his mail, confiscates his reading material, pollutes or withholds his food and otherwise torments and physically abuses him. After complaining about 2 particularly dangerous guards, the letters which Mr. Diaz had regularly been sending to his mother suddenly stopped. He may have been killed or injured. John A. Palakovich, the prison's warden, or superintendent as they like to be called, gives no evidence of caring what happens to Mr. Diaz or the other prisoners. He hasn't answered our inquiry and he hasn't stopped the many abuses. Guards only reflect the personalities of their superiors. Bad guards mean even worse managers. John A. palakovich must be a pip! He's been effective in one way. He's censored Mr. Diaz so that we can't obtain details about what's going on in the prison. We haven't given up. When we get the names of the worst of the guards and details about their offenses, we'll publish the information. We urge everyone to attempt to contact Mr. Diaz. If you get any news or details, let us know.
Protest the treatment to the prison superintendent:
Mr. Diaz's mother, Leonna Brandao who's been working diligently to protect him and publicize what's going on operates New Vision Organization. You may wish to contact her or access the website.
