Pennsylvania is so fond of locking up its citizens that it has two large prisons just for women. We are all familiar with the regular pattern of sexual misconduct by the staff at SCI-Cambridge Springs, 1 the newer of the women's prisons. We've also received a string of stories about the staff sexual misconducts at the other women's prison, SCI-Muncy. 2 Many women collect paychecks as guards in the numerous men's prisons in Pennsylvania.3 Conversely, quite a few men are employed in the women's prisons. [I am loath to say that any of these people "work" in the prisons. Guards simply don't work. They are parasites.] Guards in all the prisons like to make prisoners into sex toys. It's more common in the homosexual context of male guards sexually assaulting male prisoners, but it is also common with male guards assaulting women prisoners. We have an interesting and fairly typical account about a male guard sergeant and a female victim at SCI-Muncy. What is most interesting is how the prison administration aids and abets in the sexual misconducts. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania executives are active accomplices to the sexual offenses. In this case reported by Philip Andrus, a female prisoner was stalked by the guard sergeant. The guard already had a history of sexual misconducts with other women prisoners, but we withhold his name. He sexually stalked his new victim and peeped on her while she was undressed. She complained. The prison administration threw her into the hole. The sergeant is still collecting a state paycheck. The prison administration assists the offenses by intimidating the victim and punishing her for her complaint. They make themselves accessories after the fact by aiding and covering up the crimes. We've urged the victim to bring criminal charges, but in Pennsylvania a prisoner has less protection than a dog. If the sergeant got caught raping a dog, he'd go to prison. When he gets caught sexually assaulting a female prisoner, the victim must prove that she isn't to blame!
