In the Pennsylvania state legislature (called the General Assembly there are 50 state senators. Heaven help us, Republicans are in the majority, 29 Republicans from the "Dark Side" to 21 Democrats. That's a principle reason that Pennsylvania sucks the way it does. Most Pennsylvania state senators aren't worth much, but a few are downright evil. That dark infamy is reserved for the likes of Piccola and Orie. Whatever they are, we're stuck with them at least for now. It's YOUR fault! VOTE! Until 2009 we always created our own list of legislators. Now, after 13 years, the legislature finally seems to have figured out how to put together a list. Republicans are not just evil, they're backwards as hell, too. Now we've elected to simply link to the official state site. The links below go to those official listings. They are not our listings. Each state senator supposedly represents about 240,000 citizens. They are elected for 4 year terms. We strongly support term limits, say 2 terms of total service/corruption. They can get plenty of graft in that much time. The graft is on top of their meager $61,800 salaries and lavish expenses account. Whores go on the expense account. State senators are elected from districts to represent the persons of that district. The districts are irregular in size and shape. Most overlap parts of counties. District numbers and the county or parts of counties each senator represents are included in the aphabetical listing. You pay these guys. They're supposed to represent you. We urge all citizens and especially the loved ones of prisoners, to express themselves to these politicians. Tell them what you think and feel. Tell them what you want. Ask them for help.
