Sean E. Perseo, a cop for the Erie, Pennsylvania Police Department and previously a deputy sheriff for the county, is accused of rape along with physical and mental abuse by an anonymous woman. The allegation is that the abuse continued for 12 years! Given the fact that the cop is 29 years old, we have some obvious questions: How does rape continue for 12 years? Who was he supposedly abusing when he was 17? At the same time, we have no sympathy for any cop and certainly we don't condone any form of abuse of women or to anyone.
