Robert Messersmith is a good friend of mine who was used as a scapegoat and was convicted of the killing of Lillie Belle Allen in the 1969 York, Pennsylvania Race Riots. The kicker ... Messersmith was convicted 32 years after the fact, with no forensic evidence, no crime scene investigation, no murder weapon and no eye witness who could actually say yeah; I saw Robert Messersmith point the gun and pull the trigger that k11led Ms. Allen.

How do I know this to be fact when I myself wasn't there? Because I have all the police and F.B.I. reports. I have all the newspaper clippings, along with all of Robert's own personal notes through the years. I have personally read the three books that were written about this case; Muder Is The Charge, The Wrong Car, and the best book of the three, No Justice- No Peace. I am now helping Robert Messersmith to write his own story.

Let me tell you, people are going to be shocked when they read the true story of how twisted and corrupt the justice system in York, Pennsylvania was in '69 and still is to this very day.

Some of you may best remember the case because of a zealot prosecutor by the name of Kelley- who is now a judge- set out to convict the then mayor of York, Charlie Robertson, for the murder of Lillie Belle Allen. When that failed, Kelley used the Newberry Street Boys' leader, Robert Messersmith, his younger brother, Artie, and a couple other local gang members as sacrificial lambs to appease the blacks who they were afraid would burn the city of York to the ground. During those riots a young police officer by the name of Henry Schaad was also murdered by a group of blacks shooting into the police's armored car.

Robert Messersmith has done nine years so far over the death of Lillie Belle Allen. There is absolutely no direct evidence to prove he was the actual shooter. There were many shooters that fateful day in 1969 when Ms. Allen was killed by a ricocheting bullet. The only ballistic evidence that was removed from Allen's body in '69 has coveniently disappeared from the police evidence locker many years ago.

For 32 years, the Messersmith boys were law abiding citizens. Robert's younger brother was only around 15 years old during the Allen killing. Because he wouldn't make up lies and snitch on his brother, Artie was sent to prison 32 years after the Allen death. Even though Artie Messersmith had no criminal record and had been a model prisoner, the State Board Of Paroles made Artie max-out his prison sentence. Artie Messersmith got the biggest shaft from the justice system.

Robert Messersmith is the only person left in prison over the '69 Race Riots in York, Pennsylvania. He is still appealing his case but of course, York has been stonewalling him. Everyone knows that Mayor Charlie Robertson was the main instigator of the York Riots who passed out ammunition to young white youths during the riots. Charlie was a York police officer at this time and he was the officer who was yelling White-Power at the local park rally.

All through the years there has been an African- American reverend by the name of Mr. Raymond L. Brown and his lovely wife Eleanor who have faithfully stood by Robert Messersmith's side and proclaimed his innocense. All the black inmates at SCI-Mahanoy where Robert is warehoused at this moment like and respect him. This in contrast to the portrayal of the York prosecutors. They portrayed him as a Confederate Flag waving racist. Certainly, he is not!

In all my years of incarceration within three different state prison systems, I have lived with the worst of the worst on this planet earth. Everybody is wrongly convicted and all that happy horse-shit. I've seen and heard it all. You never believe anything you hear and only believe about one percent of what you actually see. After personally knowing Robert Messersmith and living with him on a daily bases, I can honestly say that Mr. Messersmith is not a common criminal. Robert does not belong in prison. He is a family man with a loving wife who has faithfully stood by his side all these years. He has two daughters and a very close family network. For all those who know Robert inside prison and out, will tell you that he does not belong behind bars.

It's sad that Lillie Belle Allen and officer Henry Schaad lost their lives during the York Riots so many years ago. The Messersmiths were RAIL ROADED! I have all the proof. If it is the last thing I do in this life, I'm going to make sure that through the book Robert Messersmith and I are writing together, his story will be told. The evidence will be presented to the world to be seen and judged on its own merits. The Truth is the Truth ... Robert Messersmith should be set free in the name of JUSTICE!
