Bullies
Opt For A New Union
BY: John J. Jones

The state bullies, that is, the 9700 thugs and misfits employed as Pennsylvania state prison guards, have elected a new union. The 8478 of them who can read and write, mailed in ballots dumping the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (the folks who sued this website to censor us) and adopting a newly invented outfit called Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association. The margin was 58% for "PSCOA" (sometimes called "piss-coat") to 42% for "AFSCME."

Prison guard has to be among the lowest jobs on the planet; I mean, a flight below scatologist. The one thing which prison guards share is an inflated sense of self-importance. For some reason, they believe themselves to be superior to other state bureaucrats and to lesser mortals. God only knows why they suffer from such a delusion. They certainly have no special talents or abilities; far from it.

The guards' ego-mania makes them believe all sorts of nonsense; that they're above the law, that they're important, that they are "good." As you can see, it's a kind of mental illness, but it motivated them to abandon one of the cardinal truths of the union movement: there's strength in numbers. Egotism conquered common sense, but you could never accuse a prison guard of possessing sense, common or otherwise.

So, the has-beens, AFSCME, whined after loosing 18% of its members and income that it wasn't just. They bragged that the average Pennsylvania prison guard collects $39,490 an year from the taxpayers. In addition, these drones get about $30,000.00 in benefits and 40 paid days off work each year at our, the taxpayers' expense. And they don't "work!"

What do you earn?
