The Prison Legal News is an independent, 40 page nonprofit
monthly magazine reporting all aspects of the American prison
and jail system. It covers news and court rulings affecting
prisoners and those involved in the criminal justice system.
It has been published monthly since 1990 from Seattle, Washington
mostly by present and former prisoners. The magazine currently
has a circulation of over 3,700 in all 50 states.
