In the Pennsylvania state legislature (called the General Assembly there are 203 state representatives. That means that it's over 4 times as representative of the people as the state senate. For the moment the Democrats hold a scant 13 vote majority over Republicans, 108 to 95. For years the Republicans were in the majority in the House as they still are in the state senate. They wrecked the state and are a principle reason that Pennsylvania sucks. In the following list of state representatives, names the Democrats are identified by "D." Republicans are identified by "R." Most Pennsylvania state representatives aren't worth much. They're about as colorlessly worthless as one can imagine. Whatever they are, you're stuck with them. It's your fault - VOTE! Each state representative supposedly represents about 59,000 citizens. That means you should have more influence on them than on any other legislator. They are elected for 2 year terms. We strongly support term limits, say 2 or 3 terms of total service/corruption. They can get plenty of graft in that much time. The graft is on top of their meager $61,800 salaries and lavish expenses account. State representatives are elected from districts to represent the persons of that district, but also the best interests of the commonwealth. The districts are irregular in size and shape. Some overlap parts of counties. You'd be wise to contact the representative(s) from your home district or from the district about which you're complaining. In an effort to help a little with the process, we've arranged the representatives by the counties in which their districts lie. You pay these guys. They're supposed to represent you. We urge all citizens and especially the loved ones of prisoners, to express themselves to these politicians. Tell them what you think and feel. Tell them what you want. Ask them for help.
