Our Taxes Subsidize
Rich Oil Giants

By: Jane Craine

When you buy gas for your car, truck, tractor, motorcycle, or what ever, more than 50 cents out of every dollar you spend goes directly into the pockets of fat-cat oil giants as pure profit. Only a few pennies go to the little gas station operator. The second biggest chunk goes to the oil producer, mostly President Bush's cronies in Saudi Arabia.

The oil giants are raking in profits like never before. Billions are draining directly from our paychecks into the oil company treasuries. They have plenty of money to put their own dunce in the White House and puppets in every Republican seat in Congress.

The Republican yes-men screw us ordinary citizens everyday. Their hearts and pocketbooks are with oil and Saudi Arabia. Our greedy vice president was bought outright for $50,000,000.00 from his oil bosses.

The Republican politicians have paid off big oil in typical Republican fashion: federal welfare! Gigantic profits weren't enough. Dipping into your pockets wasn't enough. Now the politicians are giving the big oil companies many many millions in our tax money; an enormous handout.

The scheme makes you pay the taxes owed by the oil companies! What a racket!

Bush thinks that it's a good thing for you to give your hard-earned money to subsidize the oil giants. It's his "energy policy." Keeping you a drone toiling for Bush's cronies is Republican policy. There are two focuses for the Republicans: (1) more money for the rich and (2) death for the poor. A good war makes billions for big business.

We should be proud to help the President payoff his cronies. We should happily pay the taxes of the oil giants. They need some new yachts. We can't have universal healthcare, but they can have their blood money.
