My name is Debby and I'm from Levittown, Pennsylvania. I just want to make a general statement about correction officers in general; well, at least 85% of them. I used to work at a prison. I got much more respect out of the inmates than the guards. They were rude and foul-mouthed. The only way they have any self-esteem is to wear a uniform. It's a control thing. I had more guards [than prisoners] make passes at me and say disgusting things. I heard them laughing at the prisoners and their families, too. The guards are such troublemakers that I had to quit. I have no respect for the system. If they hire low-lifes like that to work in the prisons [as guards], imagine what the upper crust is like! I've sent my opinions to many prisons, wardens and governors. I've told them what I think. They are heartless bastards. Those prisoners will get forgiven by God a lot faster than they will. Angola [in Louisiana] is especially bad.
