David Cilia's First Hand Account
Inside Mexico's Prisons
By: Edgar Saint George
Editor-In-Chief

We have been provided with an English translation of David Cilia Olmos's compelling essay of his horrific experiences in a Mexican prison. The material was originally published in Spanish in Mexico by Centro de Derechos Humanos Yax'kin, AC, a human rights group.

This is a fascinating and well written translation which effectively carries the reader into the corrupt prison system South of the border. We are publishing it because much of what happens in Mexico also happens in Pennsylvania. Both prison systems have similar goals: to make money and jobs for the oppressing class; to create an under-class which is exploited.

The essay was provided to us in Microsoft Word which we've simply presented as HTML. While it's fairly lengthy, we've presented it as a single file with the glossary separate. We urge you to download and read it all.

For all he taught us.
