Pennsylvania sent thugs into a foreign nation, Iraq, to abuse some prisoners. We think that it's just fine to abuse prisoners. It's been going on in Pennsylvania for centuries. It's even more acceptable to abuse Iraqis; they're "foreigners" (although we're in their country). Call them "the enemy" and torture is perfectly acceptable to the new American morality. When an American lesbian was captured by the Iraqis, they didn't torture the invader, they saved her life. Maybe they're just more civilized. Pennsylvania supplied thugs to guard and torture some of the Iraqi prisoners. Some guards came from the 320th Military Police Battalion stationed near Wilkes-Barre in the northeastern part of the state. They reportedly sent a Pennsylvania state prison guard identified as staff sergeant Scott McKenzie. We all know what kind of people become prison guards, but if you have any doubt, read Public Enemies. This sweetheart had previously been applying his gentle ministrations to children at a so-called "prison boot camp," a college of the uncivilized. Pennsylvania also sent one of its state cops, master sergeant Lisa Girman. If you're not familiar with the state cops, we have a whole department reporting a few of their endless abuses. Sergeant Shawna Edmondson and a kid named Timothy Canjar were also along. It's reported that all four have been busted for such tactics as breaking a prisoner's nose or arm. Housed in squalor worse than barnyard animals, the Iraqis eat filth, lack water and sanitation and are tortured as a regular part of the American occupation. Why would they possibly object? America has a new morality which condones Nazi-like extremism and justifies the destruction of a foreign country so that rich American oilmen can get richer and neurotic American sadists can enjoy themselves. An overwhelming imperialist aggressor invaded Iraq indiscriminatly slaughtering tens of thousands of citizens. I wonder why Iraquis resented being raped and dared to fight back. While some Iraqis collaborated with the invading oppressors, others were braver. They were gathered into concentration camps and tortured. America has become an unbelievably callous and savage nation, obsessed with self-profit even at the expense of honor. Bush and his conservative minions are just symptoms of that gangster mentality. A slaughter based on presidential lies (oh! for the good old days when a blow job was the extent of a president's deception!) will cost each of us a lot of money and a lot more self respect. What's become of an America that's strong enough to be have decently? Must we all behave like greedy exploitative big businessmen?
