| Pennsylvania's zeal to imprison its citizens has been
very successful. The Commonwealth has locked up so many citizens that for
every 1000 children in the community 21 have a mother or father in prison.
Twenty-one out of every thousand children in the state are prison orphans!
That does a lot of good for the society, doesn't it?
The callous conservative zealots don't care much about children or about anybody, but themselves, but, for those of us who are civilized, I wonder if we want to be creating orphans who will populate a permanent under-class. |
