| If you know a hundred people, at least three of them are prisoners or on probation. About 1 in every 30 American adults is serving some sentence for "crime," over 7,000,000 of our citizens! That about three times the rate in other developed countries.
Why? What's wrong with the laws and the legal system? If you live in Pennsylvania, the rate is even higher. About 5 of every 100 adult you know in Pennsylvania are prisoners or were prisoners, or are or were on probation. It's an insane epidemic! If you are an adult Hispanic in Pennsylvania you have about a 1 in 3 probability of being under sentence for some "crime." If you are a black your odds are even worse. We live in a highly regimented, conformist society. It is cruelly intolerant. It is grossly over-regulated. Almost any conduct which varies from the arbitrary standard is a "crime." There are many too many laws against many too many conducts. The legislators (all of them "criminals") are hypocrites. The media is even worse. If you are alive today, it is almost a 100% sure thing that you have broken the law. You may not have been caught, but you and your spouse and parents and everybody you know is a "criminal" to some stripe. The legal leviathan in the United States and particularly in Pennsylvania is bad. It makes us each a criminal. That's not what law is supposed to do. If you live in Pennsylvania, count the first 100 people you see. Five of them will be under sentence for a crime or they will have been under sentence in the past. Pennsylvania is the Straitjacket State, shackling your independence. If you don't live in Pennsylvania, don't come to Pennsylvania. Move yourself, your family and your business to Europe or any civilized place. There's neither liberty or freedom in America. |
