Vicki Stanisefski is a liar! Compounding the situation,
the liar is also the nurse who now runs the medical department
at the infamous state prison at Frackville in East-Central
Pennsylvania.
Much of the staff at the Frackville prison are schmucks, or, worse yet, bumbling incompetents, vicious and vindictive. It's much more troubling where the schmuck is part of the healthcare operation. Healthcare personnel have a certain professional obligation to cooperate with patients, to be compassionate and conscientious toward the patients' health and well-being. Nurses and medical administrators are duty-bound by their chosen profession to help their patients. Instead, nurse Stanisefski is in conflict with the very patients she's supposed to serve. I personally spoke with administrator Stanisefski. It was a shocking eye-opening experience. Instead of cooperation there was conflict. Instead of help or interest in the patient, there was dishonesty and defensiveness. Stanisefski's whole effort was to protect her petty fiefdom. She seemed perfectly willing to lie to do it. She showed no interest in providing the patient with his genuine health needs. Vicki Stanisefski tried to feed me a string of lies. She showed neither interest in the patient nor any inclination to help him. She wanted to help herself and her department. Since I'm regrettably familiar with the unprofessional and ego-centered staff at the Frackville prison, I was not taken in by the lies. At the time of my conversation with nurse Stanisefski it was extremely cold. Wind chills at the prison were in the range of negative 14 degrees. The patient, who suffers from very serious heart and lung conditions, was unable to safely go outside in the extreme cold. It constricted his airways. As a result, for days on end, he was unable to go outside into the weather for meals or even to pickup any food at the prison commissary. At the Frackville prison, the men must wait outside in the weather, often for half an hour or longer) to get their commissary food. Rain, snow, cold, wind, it's all the same at Frackville even for the old and sick prisoners. Frackville is certainly the worst managed prison in Pennsylvania. Apparently Vicki Stanisefski, the prison healthcare administrator, cared little about the patients' health. Her Concern was solely conflict with the prisoners. The patient had been losing weight and was in seriously failing health. Stanisefski's argument was that since the sun was shining at the time of our conversation, it was warm enough for the patient to go outside. The actual temperature at the time was 6 degrees. (And this is the person who's in charge of the medical department, astonishing!) She lied about the patient's weight. She pretended that he was more than 20 pounds heavier than he really was. She even lied about providing the patient with a nighttime snack. Stanisefski claimed that the doctor was trying to get the patient to lose weight. She pretended that the doctor had a "target weight" for the patient. Therefore, the patient couldn't be given an evening apple. Of course, it was all lies. The patient was already at or near the supposed "target weight." Starving a patient or depriving him of food is not an approved medical practice where the man, a heart and lung patient, weighs 153 pounds. Nurse Stanisefski's cock-n'-bull stories went on. She claimed that the patient "had just been seen" by a doctor. That, too, was a lie. Vicki showed no interest in getting the prisoner the food or help he needed. She showed only interest in protecting herself and her department from criticism. That is NOT the proper focus for healthcare professionals. It seems, however, to be a pattern with Vicki Stanisefski. She's done it before. With her sidekick, another nurse, Jack Robinson (his license is actually listed in the "Jack" name) her interests reflect a war against sick and needy prisoners, not an appropriate concern with healthcare. Conflict, contention and obstruction seem to be the Stanisefski/Robinson mantra. Why not simply give the patients the healthcare they need and deserve? After our contentious chat, Vicki showed her complete contempt for the prisoner's well-being. She ordered him out in the bitter cold. He had to report to the medical department. He wasn't called so that he could be helped. Vicki simply wanted to cover her butt. She forced the prisoner to be weighed. Fully dressed and in boots, he weighed 154 pounds, not the 175 she'd claimed! He's hardly a candidate for starvation! Stanisefski wanted to get the weight before the prisoner could talk to me. Why is the healthcare administrator at war with patients instead of helping them? I must ask Central Office.
