Lawyers
Sharks and Saviors

Truth be told, as a group, lawyers are generally not a very nice class of people. The females are especially prone to unsavory, greedy and unscrupulous personalities; bitches on the rag, as they say.

The rule is that lawyers aren't to be trusted, relied upon or respected. The male are especially prone to unreliability and dime-grubbing. They don't actually comprise a profession so much as a mob, like organized crime; two faced and dangerous if you rely upon one. Many of our Founding Fathers were lawyers. That's why the country is in the shape it's in.

On the other hand, some lawyers are really quite good, even conscientious. Sad to say, they are rare. None of them become judges.

For a criminal defendant, a lawyer is generally essential. No matter how bad the lawyer is, he/she has a better chance of getting a judge to pay attention than the defendant has himself. The great majority of prisoners were represented by the notorious Public Defender gang. That's why they're prisoners. Some were even guilty. The younger public defenders seem to actually try to help their clients. What they lack in experience, they make up for in real interest. Try to stick with that.

The following menu lists the articles we've published relating to a few lawyers. If you have your own stories about good or bad lawyers, please email them to us for publication. You may also want to check our Resources Department for legal resources.
