A Kenneth Lenker Story,
Thug Cops
Abusing Women

Increasingly, women have become the victims of abuses by the police. Because we appear to be weak and vulnerable, we women are ideal targets for certain predatory male personality types. The cop in New York who was stripping female motorists after traffic stops and/or forcing them to sexually expose themselves is not unusual. Abuse of women by the police is becoming common all over the country, especially in Pennsylvania.

Sexual and other abuses of women along with rape are more about power and control, than about sex. The abuse of women is usually more about inflicting humiliation or pain upon the woman than about any pleasure for the man.

In that light, it's instructive to examine the conduct of the police toward women. Many, if not most, police officers are on power trips. Their selection of occupation is based not on public service or even personal profit. By and large, the person who select police occupations do so in order to dominate others and have power over them. By its very character, police occupation reflects a personality disorder. It's a short step from power-hunger to meglalomania, from the desire to dominate to the need to abuse. The personality of the ordinary police officer is to be controlling and oppressive of others.

Kenneth Lenker was a cop in the little borough of Steelton, adjacent to Harrisburg, the capitol of Pennsylvania. It's a filthy, old-time steel-making town which has deteriorated into a slum and haven for drugs and rackets.

For reasons best left un-said, Kenneth Lenker was in a few years, elevated to the rank of "chief." The rank doesn't mean much since the Steelton police are one of the micro-forces of ill-trained, ill-educated bumblers endemic in the state. Pretty much, the force does whatever it can get away with.

As an example of how women are all to customarily mistreated by police, let me relate a true-story about Kenneth Lenker. There are plenty of alarming stories about the man, this is just one example.

A self-employed woman who manages and maintains properties was unfortunate enough to be called to a job in Steelton. The only address that she was given, Front and Lincoln Streets, was occupied by a duplex, so the woman and her crew were unsure which side of the building they should approach. Returning from the back of the house after inspecting the work that her client wanted performed, the woman, a small, white grandmother, was accosted by a pair of large black men with guns. The men blocked the woman's way and repeatedly bumped against her refusing to let her pass. The woman was terrified. The men wouldn't allow her to return to her truck. Needless to say, the business woman was concerned for her safety. It later turned out that the two armed men were somehow the involved in drug dealing. A relative had apparently recently been scut by a knife. All too soon, it became evident that the men were friendly with police officer Kenneth.Lenker.

In panic, the woman hurried to a little store on Front Street about a half a block distant. She phoned "911" for emergency help from the police. She didn't realize that the police in Steelton aren't there to help. They have their own agenda.

When, after a few moments, no police appeared, the woman cautiously returned to her truck. There were her assailants, two armed men who had assaulted her. They were in an apparently friendly chat with police office Kenneth Lenker. The grandmother tried to make her report.

Kenneth Lenker ordered her to "shut up!" Again the woman tried to report how she'd been assaulted and terrorized. Again Kenneth Lenker ordered her to "shut." He would not allow her report anything or ask for any police help.

The woman realized that this cop, she didn't at that point know his name, couldn't have been the police who was sent in response to her emergency telephone call. She rushed back to store to call again. It was apparent to her that Kenneth Lenker had some interest in the matter other than her safety.

In his police car, Kenneth Lenker sped after the woman. Following the her into the little store, the police officer threatened the grandmother. He handcuffed her hands behind her back and threatened to physically assault her. He seized her purse and shoved her into his police car.

Instead of taking the woman to the station or a district justice (although heavens know what he could have charged), Kenneth Lenker drove back to continue his chat with his armed acquaintances. The cop who was obviously aware that the woman and her crew were there simply on a work call, didn't bother to even talk to the woman's two male employees. He was only interested in the woman. He gave the appearance of relishing demeaning and abusing her.

At length, Kenneth Lenker radioed for another cop. Apparently he wanted to cover his butt. He also summoned the mayor of the borough. They seemed somewhat alarmed by Kenneth Lenker's extreme conduct. After some conversation with the mayor and the other cop, Kenneth Lenker released the woman, but issued her a ticket for disorderly conduct!

In Steelton there's a district justice named Semic. He has something of a reputation for seeing the law in, shall we say, a special way. Feeling that she'd done nothing wrong, the woman refused to pay the ticket and appeared before the Semic person for a trial. Supporting the cop with whom he seemed to be "friendly," Semic found the woman guilty of disorderly conduct for having run across the street to make the emergency telephone call!

Women should be cautious going to Steelton. Kenneth Lenker is now the "chief" of the force. You may expect women to be abused, demeaned and mistreated. Women, and especially girls, all over the state are advised not to trust the cops. They are your worst enemy.
