Cops Cause Another
Kid To Die

By: Nancy N. Lyster

A 16 year-old boy from New Cumberland in Central Pennsylvania named John Talbot is dead. As often happens, the only survivors of the fatal incident are cops, so it's only their stories that we have. If you are willing to believe what cops say, you don't know them nearly as well as I do.

The cops' story admits that they chased the boy at speeds of up to 100 miles an hour until the lad crashed. The cops admit that they continued the high-speed chase even through the boy was driving erratically and risking his own life and the lives of others. The cops admit that until they provoked the chase, the kid was not suspected of any criminal activity.

From the cops' official version of events, it appears that the boy was parked (not moving) in his father's car in New Cumberland at 4 AM. Alternately, it maybe that the boy was creeping along in the car trying to get home safely. A cop with nothing better to do, apparently made one or more trips around the block circling the car. It appears that, seeing the cop car, the 16 year old boy who may have been drinking and/or having family problems; spooked and drove off. He seems to have tried to get away from the lurking cop car. The cops claim that the boy had turned off the car's headlights.

Like a hunter who's flushed a rabbit from cover, the cop apparently rushed after the fleeing boy. Not to be outdone by borough cops, the infamous Pennsylvania State cops joined the pursuit. It wasn't too long before the cops ran their quarry to ground. He crashed into a building at a "Y" in the road far outside the jurisdiction of the New Cumberland cops. The victim died a few days later of his severe head injuries.

A boy's life should be worth more than that! What we need are cops to stalk the cops!
