Jesse Tharp, was a 37 year old guard at the Federal Penitentiary at Lewisburg. He was tried for sexually abusing two little girls on the prison's grounds. The younger of the children, 4 years old, received medical treatment for injury to her vagina. The older girl, age 7, said she was struck in the head with a length of pipe when she refused to allow the guard to continue sexually abusing her genitals.
A number of rotten guards are employed at Lewisburg. It's a real hellhole. Many other Federal guards have been forced out only to join state or local lock ups. We are preparing a piece on a drunk who was forced out of the Federal system. Because of his fondness for playing in toilets, ostensibly searching for contraband, he's called "Shithouse Shorty." His "friendship" with female visitors and imprisoned mobsters will be published soon.
