Six Year-Old Slandered

Who can I complaint to about this crap?!

My six year-old daughter recently tried to visit her brother who's incarcerated at the Michigan City, Indiana prison. She was denied visitation because she tested positive on the ridiculous "ion scanner" for marijuana! I know that she hasn't been around anyone who was smoking. Is there no common sense in the prison system?

My daughter went to the prison with her 61 year-old grandmother. She certainly doesn't smoke. The child had just bathed, washed her hair and had on clean clothes, The guard at the prison said that she could have just brushed up against someone and it caused a positive result. If that's so, how can they justify using this "scanner?" Or is the gadget simply junk?

Imagine the stigma and guilt this saddles on the little girl!

They've just sent us a notice from the prison that she will no longer be able to visit the prison and we could be contacted by child welfare!

Editors Note: We strongly urge victims of the so-called "ion scanner" to complain not just to the prison system and legislators, but in court. This is junk science and contrary to the spirit of "reasonable search." The prisons have been sold a bill of goods by unscrupulous corporations.
