My child is considered borderline retarded. His IQ is only 60. The judge punished him with five years in "TDJC," juvenile corrections only because there was no place for a sex offender ... so the judge gave him five years in prison! TDJC is not going to help the situation. Texas needs a place for the mentally retarded instead of placing them in prison. I'm a mother opposed to putting the mentally retarded and mentally ill into prisons. What would a civilized society do?
