Conservatives Versus Aliens

During the troubling years of George W. Bush's neurotic presidency several social developments came to a painful head. The worst of these was the blossoming to the dangerous conservative media. Another was the hysteria over so-called "illegal" aliens.

    • Hate/Fear Monger Conservatives

Radio has long been a haven for the neo-Nazi conservative gospel of hatred, fear and intolerant goose-step. What's euphemistically called "talk radio" is the cradle of the worst un-American intolerance and extremism since the last incarnation of Fascism persecuted Jews, Gypsies and Slovaks. Not only deviates such as Rush, but also conservative religious hypocrites endlessly rant against everybody that's not them. Their rants tell us to fear and hate.

During the corrupt reign of George Bush, the disease spread like an influenza epidemic to television. It started when news was callously morphed into comment and finally into outright lies.

The FOX fanatics are the propaganda of lies, deception and hatred. All sane persons recognize the FOX clones as blatant instruments of conservative propaganda. Only persons who want to hear lies pay any attention to Murdock's parrots. One of those birds actually became the official White House secretary of lies, cover-up and apologists. Anybody who sells out his honesty and integrity for the Bush agenda can't be believed about anything.

What is much more troubling than the goose-stepers we instantly recognize, is the cadre of pseudo-newsmen (and women) on the respectable news channels. The disgrace of Nancy Grace is not so much political as misanthropic (or really hated/fear of maleness). Her whole existence is justified by hatred, persecution, prosecution and anger. The only thing about her that's lovable is the fact that her fake legalese is hilariously entertaining. It's universally overturned by real appellate courts. The woman is a victim of her own evil.

As far as the a racist fear of "illegal" aliens is concerned, the worst crackpots are probably a pair of Accidental Americans, Lou Dobbs (boy border guard) and a drunken harpy, Glenn Beck. Both these fellows are simply irrational and illogical. They excuse their hatred of aliens, by condemning them as "illegal." Of course, persons can't be illegal. Deeds are illegal.

Both of these guys dread that the lawmakers who made the aliens "illegal" will change the law and make them legal. Then how would this pair of hypocrites rationalize their racism. While Beck hates all aliens and especially those who aren't Christian, Dobbs has a special horror of Hispanics, the poor persons who risk their lives to immigrate into America to struggle for a living.

Neither Dobbs or Beck did anything to become Americans. They took no risks and made no conscious decisions. They are Americans by the accident of where they were born. If dad had been more careful, they wouldn't be ranting now.

Somewhat less nuts than the others is "Tucker." He's maniacal enough without his Chesher smirk and his slavering lack of grasp of obvious American values.

Of course, there are other conservative extremist on the air. MSNBC is the least offensive and CNN Headline News is the most offensive not counting FOX. All the conservative propagandists preach the same line: arrest the "illegal" aliens and drive the vermin out of the country. What could be wrong with Accidental Americans attacking these "Illegals?"

Just about everything!

    • Illegal Alien Hysteria

America was created by aliens. Everybody who's here today is an alien or descended from aliens. Even the Indians originally came from someplace else. The great majority are Accidental Americans. A parent got sloppy and along came Beck or Dobbs or you or me. But about 5% of US residents are aliens who entered the country or stayed in the country contrary to recent federal race laws. In round numbers, about 15,000,000 persons are in the country contrary to those race laws.

Most of these Intentional Americans are men, but about 5,700,000 are women, mostly mothers of the approximately 7,000,000 children born in this country to these "illegal" aliens. Of course, the children are legal US citizens. Like you and me, they're Accidental Americans.

The 15,000,000 "Illegals" contribute about $400,000,000,000.00 (that's four hundred billion dollars) to the US economy. Even those who don't pay income tax, pay over $5,000,000,000.00 (that's five billion dollars) in other federal, state and local taxes.

Almost all of them are hard working contributors to the society. They are less likely to be criminal than Accidental Americans. They take the many millions of jobs that Accidental Americans shirk. Do you want to pick apples, mow lawns or build the border fence?

The conservatives worry (no doubt rightly) that the aliens will change our culture. The conservatives feel that they can't cope with such changes and that they'll lose their power and influence. To protect their social position and the almighty status quo, the conservatives want to arrest all the Intentional Americans and deport them.

Just think about that scheme a minute. Suppose that there aren't really 15,000,000 "Illegals." Pretend there are only half that many, say 7,500,000. If we arrest 1000 a day it will take over 20 years to gather them all up. And that supposes that no more come in in the meantime.

The cost of catching each victim would run about $2200. In a year that means that the roundup of "Illegals" will cost about $803,000,000.00.

So, lets suppose we start a 20 year anti-immigrant roundup. What do we do with them as they're arrested? Suppose that only 1% are really legally, Accidental Americans like you and your kids. That 1% has to be sorted out from the 99% "Illegals." It would be 10 out of each 1000 arrested each day.

Should we deport the minor citizens or should we strand them without parents? Perhaps the conservatives want to throw them into orphanages or prisons for babies. What ever they have in mind, it will destroy millions of families. Conservatives don't really give much of a damn about families except if they can be condemned the families for being bad.

If we institutionalize the 7,000,000 children, what will that cost in both money and social problems. Better yet, what will the children do when they reach voting age? I'm sure they're going to just love the conservative politics that destroyed their families.

Like it on not, the conservative political extremism is going to lose either now or later. It's simply irrational. Hatred doesn't pay its own way.
