Secretary Martin Horn's
Insane "Horny Suit" at SCI-Smithfield.

From time to time a few fortunate prisoners receive visits from family and loved ones. There was a time when the visits were seen as a way to help save marriages and families as well as a way to keep prisoners focused on their return to society and on rehabilitation. Those were the days before Martin Horn was the Secretary of Corrections and before Thomas Ridge was Governor of Pennsylvania. Under the new mentality, prison visiting is simply a painful extension of the punishment obsession of political extremists. Certainly, martin Horn is by far the worst Secretary of Corrections that Pennsylvania has ever endured: vicious but cunningly glib, deviously politically opportunist, obsessive and cruelly callous. More than that, Martin Horn suffers from a kind of psychological mania. He cooks up one neuroticly obsessive scheme after another. He and his cronies have simply become such political extremists that they've lost perspective on reality. Horn no longer grasps what prison is supposed to do. One recent invention is Horn's "Horny Suit." This bizarre garment is a kind of jump suit/straitjacket which prisoners are required to wear during visits. The Horny Suit has three fashion goals. First and most importantly, the Horny Suit is designed to humiliate and segregate the prisoners. The idea of garment is to reinforce in the prisoner's mind the doctrine that he's not a real person. He's not like his visitor and he'll never be allowed to rehabilitate himself or become like a free person. The second aim of the Horn/Ridge Horny Suit is to act as a deterrent to the visitor. The Horny Suit sends a message to the person who is visiting the prisoner. It impresses on the visitor the prisoner is beastial, inferior and not deserving of love or visits. The visitor is intended to feel embarrassed by being associated with the clown-clad prisoner. The Horn/Ridge garment is an effort to drive away visitors so to further isolate and vilify prisoners. It is a manifestation of the conservative political doctrine of creating and keeping an under-class, a slave-class; persons over whom they feel superior. The third aim of the Horny Suit is purely sexual. Neurotic sexual obsession is central to the Horn/Ridge mentality. Sex is an important thing and it can be used to extend the punishment mentality of the extremists. Prisoners have sexual parts. Horn doesn't like that. Prisoners, especially those who have been isolated and deprived for many years, have strong sexual desires. Horn really doesn't like that! The Horny Suit is designed to castrate prisoners. The fanatic Horn/Ridge mania can't yet get away with actually lopping off penises so it does the next best thing. It uses the Horny Suit to cover, hide, shield and isolate the dreaded dick. Horn wouldn't want a visiting wife or girlfriend to think of a prisoner as a sexually endowed man. I wonder why. As a side benefit, there is the prisoner's butt. In the Horn/ Ridge obsession, the prisoner rear-end is a danger. They think that a prisoner could possibly cram 5 or 8 pounds of drugs up his butt and smuggle the dreaded marijuana into the prison. It makes you wonder what Horn does with his own butt. As everyone realizes, the little bit of drugs which slips into Pennsylvania's prisons comes from guards. At one prison that I know of, the drugs are introduced by the guard who does cell searching. He also runs the gambling operation. The Horny Suit is supposed to keep a prisoners' probing finger away from his anal repository. That way the guards will have no competition for drug customers. Martin Horn isn't the only one with neurotic sexual and sadistic obsessions. He's following the lead of Thomas Ridge. Ridge is certainly one of the most infamous men in Pennsylvania history; truly vile! The Horny Suit is by no means his worst effort. It's just one of inane efforts of a depraved mind. It reflects how these people think. Somebody should tell them that therapy is available.
