We are preparing to produce a clever, very liberal, humorous online political soap opera to be called Harrisburg Heights. The premise is corrupt and inept city and state politics based on Harrisburg, the Unfriendly City, capital of Pennsylvania. We'll make fun of Republicans, conservatives and others. The story must incorporate Hispanic families, especially "illegal" aliens, family interactions, day laborers, homosexuals, drunks, trials of children and language, bumbling politicians, black city councilors, state employees, work at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant where a man got bricked into a wall and so forth. A theme will be families being hunted down by federal agents, the Anne Frank tension. Our intention is to produce about 15 minutes of story per day and to stream it online. We need amateur actors to volunteer to perform in the soap opera, women, men and children. We need writers to volunteer to script the episodes. We need make-up and production persons, camera operators and sound engineers. We intend to run a sidebar of advertising. If we can sell advertising, every worker will get a share of the proceeds.
