Child Punished to Death
By: Brenda Case

Anthony Haynes, a 14 year-old child, drowned in Arizona after savage punishment. The child was sentenced to an infamous "boot camp" for "troubled" youths. Reports indicate that along with other children, he was whipped, kicked, stomped on and forced to eat mud. When the child said that he wanted to return home, he was further punished by being baked in the sun at temperatures up to 114 degrees. He collapsed.

Instead of obtaining treatment for the boy, the outfit which had him in custody, America's Buffalo Soldiers Re-Enactors, took him to a motel. They abandoned him in a bathtub vomiting mud with the shower running. When they returned the child was drown.

Instead of calling authorities or medical assistance, his jailers carried the boy's body off to one Charles Long II, the guy who ran the "boot camp." When they were certain that the child was dead, the sheriff was finally summoned.
