Conservatives and Republicans are old fashioned. They don't like new ideas. They can't cope with new ideas. They can't cope with new people. They live in the past. The conservatives have revived an idea from the ancient past. It's an old idea. It's a hair-brained idea. It's a conservative idea. They want to build a Great Wall. It would keep out the barbarians. The Chinese tried the idea 2300 years ago. In the third century BC they spent a fortune erecting thousands of miles of barrier. It was supposed to keep out the barbarians. It was a dismal failure. It's become a monument to human folly. One of America's many myths is that the Great Wall can be seen from space. It can't. Americans subscribe to a lot of nonsense. Roman emperor Hadrian tried the idea again in the second century A.D. He wanted to keep out the barbarians. Hadrian's Wall was a dismal failure. It's a memorial to human folly. In Hadrian's defense it must be said that he also wanted to keep an army of idle soldiers busy. He hoped they'd quit raping the barbarians' women. That was a failure, too. The conservatives are afraid of immigrants. They would shift the balance of political power. Too bad, fellows. It's already too late. The conservatives' days are numbered. You're losing your power. Good riddens. The conservatives are afraid of those folks who speak Spanish, words such as "California," "San Diago," "Los Angeles," "San Francisco," all those foreign words. They want to spend a fortune to keep them out. They are barbarians. They are laborers. They are poor. They speak Spanish, words like "Colorado," "Arizona," "Montana." The conservatives want a wall that can be seen from the Moon. They want a great wall. It's folly. It's a monument to the inability of conservatives to cope with change. A bunch of the bigots call themselves "minutemen." That makes them sound patriotic. They aren't. They're bigots. The "minutemen" have the conservative mentality of imprisonment. They want to lock people up. The wall that locks the alien out, locks the "minuteman" in. Which one is the criminal?
