In July 2007 Pennsylvania's Department of Imprisonment found a new partner to operate the racket which sells telephone "service" to prisoners and their loved ones. The VERY, VERY overpriced scheme is operated by an organization which uses a number of aliases. The most common alias seems to be Global Tel*Link. Other names include Gores Group and Gores Technical Group, LLC. Global Tel*Link also goes by the name GTL. Sometimes "Inc." or "Corporation" seems to be added to the name. Just as DOC's partner hides behind a list of aliases, so, it also seems to have a variety of addresses and phone numbers. These are the one's we've found. Another address: Global Tel*Link Box 173875 Denver, CO 80217 One of several phone numbers: 1-800-231-0193 Phone number attributed to MCI: 1-888-385-9366 Although Pennsylvania law requires that companies have local, Pennsylvania addresses and phone numbers, this company doesn't seems to have them. Perhaps the Department of Imprisonment knows their real address and phone number and why the company uses so many aliases.
