If you know a prisoner who has been refused parole, you can help him. You can ask the Pennsylvania Parole Board to review his case. The law requires that a prisoner must be considered for parole every 6 months after he or she completes the minimum sentence. But, the prisoner (or you) or any interested person must demand the review.
You may simply write a letter to the Parole Board demanding the review. If you prefer, you can download the Parole Application which we've written for you. Print out the form and send it to the Board. You may prefer to print out the form letter and to mail it to the prisoner for him to fill out and submit to the Board.
If you send in the letter for the prisoner, it will show that the prisoner has support in the community. That can't hurt!
