My husband is imprisoned in Georgia.
He was beaten badly enough
that he was confined to a wheelchair for months...but was it
abuse? NO!

Today they took his religious materials and the store supplies he just bought. Why, you ask? They claimed it was contraband. I've been harassed by the men and women working for the state for seven years now. I've been treated like I was dirt. They checked on me every way they could. I watched them violating their own rules, like lighting up inside the government building. Slimy isn't the word for the treatment of the Department of Corrections. Half of them should be behind the very bars they keep others behind. When I try to go to the Department, first I had to talk to the warden about the horrible things. Of course, he claimed he didn't do it. Then, I had to go to the Inmate Affairs office so that they could lie about what the warden "didn't" do. I might try Internal Affairs, but I'll be put down there, also. When I dared to call the big guy at DOC I had some woman tell me "nope!" not, "no ma'am" or "yes ma'am," just "nope!" That's not the kind of person I'd want running my office. My husband was even denied parole by two men who were caught taking bribes!
