Most Pennsylvanians recognize that their government is their enemy. It started with the Republicans and has gotten worse. Now the aim of most of Pennsylvania's government is to hold down the
citizens. We call it the Piccola effect, the most evil of people slither like serpents into power.
As bad as Pennsylvania's government and Pennsylvania's Republicans are, the worst authorities are the Department of Imprisonment; prison officials, guards and related state flunkies. The Department of Imprisonment (mockingly called the "Department of Correction" or "DOC") has an official policy to lie to you, another official policy to be your enemy and a third official policy to keep secret its foul deeds.
It all makes a citizen wonder what they pretend to be doing and what we, the suckers, pay them. As it turns out, the state operates a secret website listing the duties and pay of all Pennsylvania state employees. It's fascinating! Visit it yourself and lookup "corrections officers."
