The Giant Piranha
"We are going to expand the economy on building prisons"
Former Gov. Dick Thornburgh
1983 KDKA Radio Interview
By: Earl Box

The owner of a giant piranha appeared
on WNEP-TV, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania,
and pleaded for someone to take the fish.
He said the piranha was growing bigger and bigger
each day from eating bologna,
and that it had outgrown five different aquariums.
The owner said he couldn't afford to feed
the piranha anymore, nor buy anymore aquariums.
A camera shot of the humongous piranha showed
it couldn't turn about in the gigantic aquarium
it could face only one direction.
The giant piranha should be given to the Department
of Corrections (DOC) to put in its lobby as a mascot.
The mascot would serve as a symbol
that the DOC is growing bigger and bigger
from all the baloney it feeds the public.
