The extremists dictating Pennsylvania's government have ordered that prisoners contribute blood. The DNA from the blood is typed and classified. The rich, old extremists have spent millions of our tax dollars to build a high tech laboratory to examine and store the prisoners' DNA.
Why would the fanatic right-wing Ridge Reich require such personal biological data?
The ghouls have an innocent explanation. The party line is that DNA is like fingerprints. Your benevolent gestapo simply wants to be able to identify "criminals." When the sub-humans wheedle their ways out of jail, they'll just commit more crimes. The harmless DNA database will help to identify the evil-doers. The program is perfectly proper and in the public interest.
If you believe that propaganda, you're the sort of fool who deserves Governor Ridge and his minions. Certainly, the flaccid media faithfully parroted the yarn. A more realistic and skeptical examination is warranted.
The Reich's DNA testing law requires the examination of blood from the dreaded perverts, but also from life prisoners. Men charged with harassment and those sentenced to death must allow the DNA tests.
Hold on! The men who are executed and the lifers aren't ever getting out of prison. How can identifying them by their DNA be in the public interest? Why do the old, rich men want the tissue types of those prisoners?
DNA is NOT like fingerprints. It's far far more. It's the difference between a picture of your house and a detailed blueprint of every detail of your house showing where every article of your property is located.
While the extremists can use DNA to identify "criminal," it's far less reliable than fingerprints. If a guy's fingerprints are found at the scene of a crime, there's a good chance he was there. If his DNA is found at the scene of the crime, it means far less. Blood, sweat, hair, urine, spit, semen and so forth are far far easier to obtain, move, plant and even mislay.
What DNA will do is to identify which prisoner has organs that would be perfectly compatible with which rich extremist. Organs are worth good money to the dying old ghouls of the Ridge Reich: a hundred thousand dollars for a heart, twice that for a pair of kidneys. One prisoner with the right DNA could be worth a million dollars in spare parts; a liver for this old extremist, some lungs for his granddaughter, bone marrow for a big party contributor, eyes for his cousin.
If you're going to keep a man in prison until he dies or if you're going to officially murder him, why not harvest his valuable entrails to reward the faithful extremists? From there it's a small step to choosing who should be executed (or even who should be arrested) based upon the value of his organ harvest.
Isn't good old ex-Governor Casey alive today thanks to an organ transplant? You can bet that the rich old extremists didn't miss that example!
But, DNA has other uses, too. Take the sinister "science" of eugenics. Eugenics is the super-race "science." It was last popular in a former totalitarian Reich. It's the strategy of which persons should be allowed to live and to breed based upon how "good" their race is.
According to eugenics, people with "good" biological traits should be encouraged to live and breed. Those people who are "inferior" should be sterilized and put into prison.
The Ridge Reich is collecting a vast DNA database. They can and certainly will examine the database. They'll want to know "what do all those criminals have in common in their cells?"
When the ghouls find the "bad seed," they'll be be able to sterilize all of that race of people or imprison them before they have a chance to commit a crime. More likely, they'll subject them to the "civil commitment" of Senator Greenleaf's Russia Gambit.
When the extremists compare "criminals'" DNA they are sure to notice common markers. The vast majority of prisoners are male. Most criminals are black. There are also plenty of Hispanics and Italians, and so forth. Soon, persons will be condemned because of the genes they were born with, because of their "type" instead of because of what they've done.
This whole business of screening the DNA of prisoners is a damn dangerous idea. Many of the gullible middle class working drones buy into the Reich's yarn. To those naive souls it all seems believable, even good. They believe the myth that government is good and does good things. Not until they suffer a personal confrontation it one of the government's ugly tentacles will they wise up: traffic cop, IRS, zoning authorities, building inspectors, etc., etc.
Government is the dominion of tyrants. Would you trust Governor Ridge with your DNA? Suppose Ridge needed a new heart (we all recognize that in real life he has no heart) and your DNA matched up with his well enough for an ideal transplant. Would you want to be sitting in SCI-Greene with 200 guards lusting to kill you?
