Dawn is a liquid dishwashing detergent. It's a consumer product that's peddled to housewives and others with the usual exaggerated advertising hoopla. It is apparently also an effective degreaser which may be used to help cleanup oil spills and creatures contaminated with oil. DawnSavesWildlife.com is a website which promotes the product, but also promotes laudable ecological and conservational goals. We recommend the sight. While we don't know enough about the detergent to recommend it, and we can't honestly say that we're big fans of chemicals, we appreciate that Dawn is, for whatever reason, raising awareness of the protection of wildlife.
