Recently, civilized people celebrated the sixtieth anniversary
of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps during World
War Two.
The horrors and abuses of Auschwitz, Buchenwalt, Dachau,
Belsen and the many other Nazi "detention centers" were decried
and the victims were mourned.
The civilized world judged the
evils of the fanatic Nazi Germans based on their prisons.
Now, sixty years later, it's America which has the concentration camps, dozens of brutal "detention centers." Imagine the rejoicing when they are liberated! The civilized world judges America and the fanatic Republican Americans by our prisons. The Fuhrer tyranny flourishes in George w. Bush. Can't decent Americans see the parallels between Bush's "Delta Camp" and Hitler's Dachau? between America's Abu Ghraib and Germany's Auschwitz? Maybe we just don't care, or maybe, there are no longer enough decent Americans to make a difference. Many supposedly decent Germans ignored the Nazi's victims because they were only Jews. Are Americans ignoring our victims because they are only Muslims? Liberate the concentration camps!
