Cop Pockets the Evidence
By: Ed Keller

Stealing is an almost universal hobby for cops. Truth-be-told, cops are damn slimy characters. In towns large and small, the cops steal the loot they've taken from "criminals," that is, the other criminals.

When cops "confiscate" dope, it invariably is sold or used by the cops. When they take cash, it doesn't last to get into the evidence room. It's in a cops pocket. It's the same with all other valuables taken from suspects or seized during searches.

If a cop gets a goody, he thinks it's his personal property. Just look around inside their homes.

Most cops are bright enough to hide their thefts. A few are as dumb as Chris Wade. Chris is the chief of the tiny police force in the hamlet of Lykens North of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania's Unfriendly City.

Chris appears to be an egotist with more mouth than brains. He boasted about all the drug busts he made and all the drugs and cash he confiscated. He gave self-congratulatory news conferences. Chief Wade wanted everybody to know what a great cop he was.

After a while authorities started to wonder. The supposed pushers and users never ended up in court. The drugs and money never were presented. One must wonder why.
