Pennsylvania's
Commonwealth Court

By Kingfish Stevens

Pennsylvania has a special court. It is the watchdog which is supposed to hear cases against the state government. It is called the Commonwealth Court. Pennsylvania has a very bad government, so there are a lot of cases against it. The very worst part of the government is the "DOC," the Department of Corrections. There are more cases against the DOC than against anybody else. Commonwealth Court is supposed to require the DOC to behave legally.

The court doesn't do its job.

All Pennsylvania's courts are a disgrace. Justice is forgotten. It's hard to figure out why the whole system has collapsed into such injustice. Perhaps it's just a reflection of the injustice of the citizens. It must be difficult to be a judge; fair and just. It must require personal integrity and decency along with professional wisdom and abstraction.

Whatever it takes, Pennsylvania judges don't have it. We must remember that all the judges were once lawyers. When was the last time you saw an honorable lawyer? On top of that they are politicians!

What a collection of putrid political hacks comprise the Pennsylvania judiciary! Perhaps the worst of the courts is the "watchdog," Commonwealth Court. Almost anything would be better than the present Commonwealth Court. How can it get worse than the political foxes now drooling over the citizen's hen-house?

Harrisburg has a State Hospital. A few of the crazy people are there. We urge the citizens to replace the Commonwealth Court with a panel of mental patients. It would be a vast improvement over:

Colins, James Gargner
Doyle, Joseph T.
Flaherty, James J.
Freidman, Rochelle S.
Kelley, James R.
Leadbetter, Bonnie B.
McGinley, Bernard Leo, II
Pellegrini, Dante Robert
Smith, Doris A.

Insanity is better than corruption. Delusion is better than politics. Crazy is better than crony. Three schizophrenics will give more justice by accident than any three of the "judges" now polluting the Commonwealth Court bench. That crew hands down injustice on purpose.

Even if the citizens are hesitant about adding more crazy people to government, they should seriously consider re-making the court with non-political people of integrity. Certainly, they'll have to look outside the legal profession.

James J. Flaherty is, more than any other member of the Commonwealth Clowns, in the DOC's pocket. He's their best friend. Even slugs have friends, apparently. He's the worst enemy of prisoner justice. If James J. Flaherty should read this, please regard it as our open letter.

The next time a prisoner has been wronged (which will be tomorrow) should he bother to file a suit with you and the Commonwealth Clowns or should he just deliver the petition directly to the guards who abused him? Would there be any difference in the outcome?
