Callous Prison Didn't
Tell Fiancee of
Prisoner's Death

By: Ellen L. Colzie

My husband-to-be was a prisoner at Houtzdale state prison in Central Pennsylvania. On February 6, 2006 he died in there - supposed to be from a heart attack.

The way I found out about it was that I received the return of a letter I'd written to him. It said "Deceased 2/7/06" on it - no phone calls, nothing.

I'd been involved with him for 6 years. We were intending to get legally married when he got out this year. His name is Kevin Demetrous Colzie, AM 7062. He was a good man and a drug counselor there at the prison.

I want to know what happened and why wasn't I called? My name and number were on his calling list. I'd just talked to him on February third.

I'm hurt and in deep depression over this loss.
