Isaiah "Buttons" Givens
Help An Innocent Man

We call on the Philadelphia district attorney to correct a grave miscarriage of justice. We call on ordinary citizens to help Isaiah "Buttons" Givens. Support him for a new trial or commutation.

Since 1982 Mister Givens has been serving a life sentence for a murder he didn't commit. Finally, Doris Givens has published a website detailing the evidence proving his innocnece. We urge you to visit it.

In a tragic drive-by shooting in the Richard Allen Homes project in Philadelphia in 1982, 7 year-old Marty Jones was killed. Through a series of concocted evidence and false witnesses, a young man, Isaiah Givens, was convicted of the crime. Mr. Givens, called "Buttons" or sometimes "Button," was not the shooter. Nonetheless, he was given a life sentence. He's already spent decades behind bars.

This miscarriage of justice must be corrected. It's the district attorney's duty to correct the mistakes. Mr. Givens should be given a new trial or the DA should support him for commutation. Any citizen with knowledge or evidence bearing on the case should phone toll free: 1-866-396-9906. You may also send emails to: isaiahbuttongivens@msn.com.

Mrs. Givens' informative website accuses an assistant district attorney, Robert King, along with others, including Debra Thomas and the victim's family with complicity in the false conviction. She puts forward convincing evidence. It should be used to help a wrongly convicted man.

As Mrs. Givens observes, "knowledge of an innocently convicted individual is the business of the public." If this were your loved one rotting in prison since 1982, wouldn't you want individuals to stand up and speak out with the truth? That's what Buttons' family and friends ask you to do. Visit the website. Support Mr. Givens for a new trial or commutation. Phone the district attorney. Demand that she correct this injustice.
