Richard Arentz is a prison guard, well, at least he used to be a guard at SCI-Camp Hill.
Richard Arentz is a pervert. He likes to do sexually deviate stuff with his little girls, or at least he was convicted of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with an 11 and a 14 year old.
Richard Arentz is still being protected by the corrupt "just-us" system.
We all realize that the just-us system is utterly corrupt. It doesn't matter what you do. It matters who you are! Richard Arentz is an example. He's treated like a special case, a prison guard, not a child molester.
Dick, the guard, repeatedly had sex with the girls. He could have been charged with many crimes. Instead, he was only charged with two: one for each child victim.
For the rest of us, the law absolutely mandates a 5 year minimum sentence for each count. The court is allowed to dish out up to 40 years and it must give at least 10 years. That's what you'd get. That's what I'd get.
But Dicky Arentz is treated specially. The law is ignored. He got only 3 years as a minimum sentence, not 10 years. He got only 7 years as a maximum sentence, not 40 years.
The law says that for every sentence of 2 years or more, the convict has to spend his time in a state prison. Not so for the convicted guard. He's special, an insider of the just-us system. He gets to spend his time in his local county jail: much less rough and very much closer to home than the minority convict from the big city must endure in a state joint!
There is no doubt that all sentences for sexual offenses are very much too severe and vindictive. Even Dick's sentence is likely too extreme. Punishment should fit the crime. If the guy doesn't do serious injury, probably a year or two is plenty.
The point is that now the punishment fits the person. Insiders get special leniency. The rest of us get creamed.
The moral is that if you want to molest little girls, first get a job as a prison guard. SCI-Camp Hill has an opening and you'll find lots of criminals already employed there.
