John alias "Jack" Abramoff was a long-time bagman
for the Republican Mafia.
He delivered tens of millions to the
George W. Bush election coffers.
He also made payoffs to other
criminal Republicans in seats of power.
Most of the money Abramoff used to payoff Republican political puppets was swindled from Native Americans. Since Europeans first settled in North America, the Indians have been systematically imprisoned, enslaved, extorted, tortured and murdered. It's an American disgrace which Abramoff and the Republican Mafia that he served have been delighted to continue. Of course, the Republican Mafia has gone far beyond simply stealing from Indians. In order to benefit the the rich and big business, especially big oil and big pharmaceuticals, Bush's Republican mob swindled all poor people and those of the middle class, the old, the needy, the sick, the "illegal" aliens, the students and the entire next generation. The wealthy were awarded fortunes gouged from ordinary people. For every dollar the worker earns today, the boss gets over $1000 for damn little labor. A Republican mouthpiece boasted that capitalism feeds people. That's a lie. Capitalism doesn't feed people. Labor feeds people. Nowadays that means mostly the Hispanic immigrants whom Republicans malign and use as doormats. Big business gets the profits, but Sergio and Marco do the toil. When Bush's Bagman was busted, a tsunami swept through the Republican mob. Abramoff's guilty plea meant that he'd saved himself, but he doomed dozens of the worst Republican gangsters. Perhaps 20 Republican crooks in Congress will lose their positions if not their liberty. Good riddancs!
The real criminals aren't in prison. The system is rigged to protect the politicians and the powerful while prosecuting the poor and the petty criminal. The era of the "good" politician seems to be waning. There is no longer much "public service." Now it's public exploitation. Where ever there is corruption, money, guns and harm, there you'll find droves of conservatives and Republicans.
